A former WWE Champion with an illustrious career spanning multiple decades recently opened up about the sheer enjoyment they are experiencing as part of AEW, expressing that they are “having a blast” in their current professional venture.

Adam Copeland, widely known as Edge during his 25-year tenure in WWE, has taken a bold step outside the confines of the company and is reveling in the success of his AEW career.

Making a memorable AEW debut at WrestleDream 2023 in October, Copeland engaged in a captivating feud with former tag team partner Christian Cage. He clinched the AEW TNT Championship from The Patriarch at Worlds End 2023, only to lose the title back to him shortly afterward.

In a candid interview with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Copeland shared his thoughts on the pleasures of working with AEW and underscored the significance of the company’s role in the current wrestling landscape:

“Having more than one avenue to showcase your talents is a positive for everyone in the wrestling industry. A monopoly is never a wise approach, and this applies to us as performers and to the audience. Variety is key. You don’t have to choose one over the other; you can embrace them all.”

Copeland reflected on his own wrestling fandom, recalling the thrill of discovering promotions beyond the mainstream. He emphasized the value of diversity, citing AEW as a testament to this:

“AEW is remarkable because it offers a spectrum of wrestling experiences. Experiencing this diversity is truly special, and I’m thoroughly enjoying my time here.”

Throughout his stint in AEW, Copeland has faced numerous first-time opponents, including a recent bout with Japanese wrestling legend Minoru Suzuki. Additionally, the Hall of Famer has used his platform to shine a spotlight on emerging talents through open challenges on AEW
