There’s an interesting name on the stage tonight at AEW Collision tapings.
As previously reported by Wrestle Votes the former WWE Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey is in the backstage area of the WWE show. There’s not much information regarding the reason for her presence, however it’s possible that she’s traveling since she’s from California.
Rousey has raised eyebrows after she fought at Lucha Varoom on Oct. 28 and teamed up with Marina Shafir of AEW to take on the trainer of her Brian Kendrick and AEW’s Taya Valkyrie. The night before, she was paired together with Shafir in The Wrestling Revolver Unreal show in an encounter with AEW celebrities Athena And Billie Starks. The match was a no contest, which could result in the possibility of a second match.
Rousey is an unrestricted free agent. She posted on social media a couple of weeks ago that had retired. There was speculation that she could come back in MMA in her participation in the UFC 300 event next year but it was snubbed in the hands of Dana White. It’s evident that Rousey still has a desire to wrestle professionally and AEW may be on her radar.
