AEW Ronda Rousey returned to in-ring action against stars at Wrestling Revolver Unreal show

Ronda Rousey made her return to ring fights on Thursday at her main match of Wrestling Revolver Unreal. Wrestling Revolver Unreal event.

It was her second match following her departure from the company following the Summer Slam event, in which Shayna Baszler fought her former WWE Women’s Champion during an MMA rules-based contest. Rousey’s contract was due to expire in the year she had been on absence following her second time with the organization.

Her first match was her debut match, in which she team alongside Kurt Angle to defeat Triple H and Stephanie McMahon at WrestleMania 34 in 2018. Rousey’s debut post-WWE match took place at the Lucha Vivocom event on October 28 in a impromptu match, where she joined forces with Marina Shafir in a match to defeat Brian Kendrick and Taya Valkyrie.

She was paired with Shafir on the Thursday’s show to compete against the AEW’s Athena as well as Billie Starks in the main event. The final result was a call for Athena to go after Rousey in the ROH Women’s Championship, which resulted in an end to the contest. Rousey thanked fans following the event for their loyalty.
