Kota Ibushi from AEW provided an updated on his condition. The AEW star announced that he is soon to undergo ankle surgery.
Ibushi won the main event at the Pro Wrestling New Year NOAH 2024 January 2 show by defeating Naomichi Mahrufuji.
Ibushi, who suffered injuries to both his ankles in the fight, was taken to the hospital.
Kota Ibushi is now on social media to announce that surgery will be performed soon.
Ibushi tweeted:
“I’m sorry for the delayed contact. NOAH is sure to provide more details. However, I can tell you the condition of the inside my left foot. I’m sure there will soon be a new release. I’m truly, deeply sorry.”
Ibushi was signed by AEW, in November 2023, after making several appearances for the firm.
In a Street Fight, he teamed with Paul Wight Kenny Omega Chris Jericho and Konosuke Toshita to beat Brian Cage, Kyle Fletcher Powerhouse, Konosuke and Konosuke.
