AEW might be getting one of its promising young stars coming back from injury, as the company gets closer to its final pay-per-view show this year. Worlds End, on December 30th and ringing in the new year.

The accident

The star in question that is Dante Martin, who has been off the circuit for a while since his ROH Death Before Dishonor pay-per-view event last year, where he wrestled Action Andretti while working a pre-show match. Martin took part during the Reach for the Sky ladder match.

He was injured while taking an ax out of Penta El Zero Meido off an elevated platform and through several tables. He was taken to a hospital following the incident. Martin’s previous update on his health was last July, when ROH Commentator Ian Riccoboni stated in his commentary the following day that Martin is ahead of time and recuperating.

The new version

Sean Ross Sapp of Frightful Select stated Frightful Select reported that “Martin was backstage at a recent AEW show and is nearing a return from injury.”

While his brother was on bench, Darius Martin has been active, working in solo and in tandem with Andretti.

We would like to wish Martin an easy recovery and are looking forward to his return.
