Serena Deeb hasn’t been seen for a whole year on AEW television, and she has admitted to the reasons.
Away
Deeb was able to make the AEW debut on 2 September 2020 episode of Dynamite in which she fell to the then-NWA Women’s Champion Thunder Rosa in her first match since 2017. She was frequently seen on AEW TV until she began working on an AEW Dark: Elevation taping on October 18 2022.
While she was away there was a report that Deeb got some backstage rumble before vanishing from TV. She began going to AEW events once more this month.
The main reason
Deeb posted on Instagram to share that she’d been suffering from three seizures since last October, which kept her out from the rings.
“Since last October, I’ve had a series of three unprovoked seizures. This has been a traumatic time period for me. It has affected my career and it’s affected my life.”
Serena also said that her neurologist has said that she has recovered and she is now cleared to wrestle.
