The wrestling world may witness a comeback from a current AEW star, as they have hinted at the possibility of one final match in their career.
Maria Kanellis, known for her multifaceted roles in wrestling, currently manages Griff Garrison and Cole Karter’s tag team on Ring of Honor television. Although she has been primarily in a managerial capacity, Maria’s last in-ring appearance dates back to July 1, 2019, during a Mixed Tag Team match on Raw alongside her husband, Mike Kanellis.
Maria’s last physical wrestling display was at WrestleMania 35 during the WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal. However, during a recent Q&A session with Monopoly Events, Maria revealed that she’s been approached about the possibility of a final match.
When asked about potential opponents for this hypothetical match, Maria mentioned names from AEW like Deonna Purrazzo and Queen Aminata. She commended Queen Aminata’s inspirational story and considered Toni Storm as another compelling option.
Despite her daughter’s desire to see her back in action, Maria expressed uncertainty about her performance quality should she decide to step into the ring one more time.
