On Monday’s 15th January Episode on Raw, Seth Rollins defended and won his WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Jinder Mahal in the main event.

Prior to the game there was speculation among fans that it was the night Damian Priest would cash in his Money in the Bank contract that he won in London the month of July.

Priest did make it to the ring, however any attempt to cash in the contract was blocked through Drew McIntyre as the two eventually fought outside the area of the ring.

Regarding what WWE actually planned for Priest on that particular night, Fightful Select reports that there was “never” any thought for Priest making money.

In the end this was also said about Jinder Mahal but many fewer fans would have predicted that a Mahal victory than the possibility of Priest taking home the prize and walking away as champion.

Damian Priest is set for the fight with Drew McIntyre on the January 22 episode of WWE Raw on Monday.

Seth Rollins walked out of his fight with Mahal with a real injuries to the left thigh, however, as of this moment there aren’t any additional updates on the extent of the injury.
