In a matchup that has been in the making since November, Nia Jax and Becky Lynch will finally meet on one-on-1 during “WWE Raw: Day 1” to start the new year.
Jax took to the ring during the Monday episode of “Raw” and quickly grabbed the microphone, looking eager to be laying into Lynch following their recent exchanges however, before Jax could even say one sentence, “The Man’s” music struck. Jax said she had other things to attend to and was planning to announce her participation in the 2024 Women’s Royal Rumble, but Lynch claimed that the fans didn’t need to know about the announcement.
Nia came back with a statement, stating that they had never been in a fight one-onone, because the fans (and possibly WWE its own) are scared of what Jax might take on the seven-time women’s champion. And when Lynch was done, she asked for a referee as well as a fight immediately, Jax declined, saying she’d rather fight in her home town in San Diego, California at “Day 1.”
Insisting that Lynch was likely to end being admitted to the hospital and her daughter would be crying due to the fact that “Mommy looked uglier than she usually does,” Jax began to walk through the steps. However, Lynch did not like it her way, slamming herself over Jax’s back. Jax and eating the right hand when officials dispersed the fight.
