CM Punk is not allowed to talk about AEW after signing an NDA

AEW

CM Punk has returned with WWE and, while some fans were hoping Punk to take on AEW in his welcome promo last Monday evening on Raw but that wasn’t the scenario. In the end, Punk cut a promo about how he’s changed as a man and wants to prove he’s the best in the business and is returning home.

Reality

The reality is that even though wrestlers from other promotions may make fun of WWE or WWE executives, mainly Vince McMahon and Triple H in WWE they see things differently. For instance, why should the biggest promotion in wrestling not take shots at other promotions. Instead, they pretend they aren’t even there publicly.

There’s a second aspect with Punk to think about in relation to his time with AEW and that is having problems with a number of individuals in the show like The Elite and Jack Perry due to the brawl that occurred during All Out 2022 and his confrontation with the backstage crowd with Jack Perry.

The agreement

In the most recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer said that Punk cannot legally discuss AEW or the people involved in the promotion.

Meltzer wrote that “For those wondering or disappointed that Punk said nothing about AEW, it’s because both he and others have signed several NDA’s regarding talking publicly about the other.”
