On March 17th, the wrestling world celebrated the birthdays of two esteemed individuals: Samoa Joe, the reigning AEW World Champion, turned 45, while Brody King of the House of Black reached the milestone of 37. Amidst the festivities, CM Punk, a former AEW World Champion turned WWE luminary, opted for a humorous approach to send his regards.

Taking to Instagram, Punk shared a nostalgic photo featuring himself alongside Samoa Joe and Brody King, taken prior to AEW All In London last year. In a light-hearted twist, Punk decided to edit out the AEW All In logo from the background of the image, replacing it with a picture of Danhausen.

Accompanying the edited photo, Punk penned, “Happy birthday to my brothers you shouldn’t head butt,” showcasing his trademark humor and camaraderie within the wrestling community.

The significance of All In London holds a special place in Punk’s heart, marking his final match in AEW before his unexpected departure from the promotion. Punk’s victory over Samoa Joe during that event remains a memorable chapter in wrestling history. However, Punk’s tenure in AEW was cut short following a backstage incident, culminating in his departure just a week later.

Despite the unexpected turn of events in AEW, Punk made a triumphant return to the WWE, captivating fans once again at Survivor Series 2023. However, his WWE comeback was marred by injury as he suffered a torn triceps at the Royal Rumble 2024, forcing him out of WrestleMania and leaving fans eagerly awaiting his eventual return to the squared circle.
