In the lead-up to WWE WrestleMania 40, Becky Lynch, a former multi-time WWE Women’s Champion, has thrown verbal barbs at Roman Reigns, igniting excitement for the upcoming event.
Roman Reigns has etched his name in WWE annals with an impressive 1300-plus day reign as the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, establishing himself as a cornerstone of the wrestling world.
As Reigns prepares to take center stage on both nights of WrestleMania 40 on April 6 and 7, it marks a departure from his recent part-time schedule.
In a conversation with TaRhonda Thomas of ABC Philly, Becky Lynch discussed the challenge facing her husband Seth Rollins, Cody Rhodes, and Roman Reigns as they take on double duty for WrestleMania 40 weekend. She remarked:
“It’s going to be tough, but that’s the mark of a champion. Roman, especially, will need to step up his game since he’s been noticeably absent from the ring lately. It’ll be a real test for him.”
“It’s going to be particularly challenging for him. Cody is no stranger to the ring, and Seth Rollins thrives on defending his title. Roman Reigns, however, might find this weekend to be his biggest challenge yet.”
Becky Lynch herself is gearing up to challenge Rhea Ripley for the WWE Women’s World Championship at WrestleMania Saturday on April 7.
The first night of WrestleMania 40 will feature The Rock and Roman Reigns squaring off against Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins in the main event. Meanwhile, WrestleMania Sunday will see Reigns defending his Undisputed WWE Universal Title against Rhodes.
