Detroit Politician Trolled: Grayson Waller Steps into the WWE Ring

WWE luminary Grayson Waller took a swipe at Detroit, prompting a swift response from a local politician who dubbed herself as ‘scrappy’!

In anticipation of a WWE event in Detroit, Waller voiced his sentiments on Twitter:

“After the fun and joy of the festive season, it’s nice to be brought back to reality performing in the absolute dregs of the US in Detroit ?”

Waller’s disparaging remarks about the city didn’t stop there, and what he might not have realized was that a Michigan state senator was in the know!

State Senator Dayna Polehanki, present at the event, promptly took to Twitter:

“Here we go!!! My first ever WWE Live. Grayson Waller insulting Detroit! Jabroni! #wwedetroit”

In an interview with the Detroit News, Senator Polehanki acknowledged that she felt compelled to counter, representing her state.

Waller, on his end, shared a characteristically amusing Grayson Waller video describing the occasion as “a crazy night,” but he didn’t shy away from hurling another insult.

Waller remarked:

“Getting to perform in the home of a historic basketball team, the Detroit Pistons — the most games lost in a row. This place sucks.”

While tomorrow night’s WWE SmackDown may see Waller making an appearance, it won’t adhere to the usual live show format.

Hosted by Jackie Redmond and Corey Graves, the December 29 episode of WWE SmackDown is slated to be a ‘Best of 2023’ episode.
