Drew McIntyre was legitimately upset following Survivor Series WWE

Drew McIntyre stormed out.

WWE

Drew McIntyre had been frustrated with WWE in the past because of his creative agreement, scheduled to end in 2024. The night of Saturday, The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, Damian Priest, Dominik Mysterio) McIntyre & JD McDonagh fell to Seth Rollins, Sami Zayn, Jey Use, Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton in the Men’s Wargames Match.

The situation

After the match, McIntyre stormed out of the ring, while keeping an eye just before Punk’s song was played. The music was a hit with fans about it, not to mention the fact that it was a bit controversial.

As we previously reported, McIntyre stormed to the back, slamming on the door to the locker room and walked out of the arena. McIntyre was so furious when he reached the back that it was an “loud and obvious situation” which was observed by many witnesses.

On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said that while he’s not quite sure what McIntyre was angry over this, it was an appropriate reaction, and not related to the storyline.

Fallout

“Yeah He was extremely unhappy. As the night progressed, he became less angry. As for the reasons he decided to leave I’m not going to provide any false details. I can say that there were people from the company who spoke with me they believed it had something to do with have something to do with [CMPunk. Punk. I can’t confirm this. It’s just what the people in the company believed. He was, however, legitimately angry over something, whatever it was. I’m not sure what it was.”

Meltzer said that it will be a fantastic season for McIntyre in 2024, due to his contract expiring and WWE intending to keep McIntyre.
