Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Commends Rhea Ripley’s WWE Comeback

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has recently expressed his admiration for WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley on social media.

Making a grand return on the ‘Day 1’ edition of WWE Raw on January 1, The Rock confronted Jinder Mahal and delivered his iconic Spinebuster and People’s Elbow to the ex-WWE Champion. Hinting at a potential feud with WWE Undisputed Universal Champion Roman Reigns, The Rock expressed his desire to sit at the head of the table.

During Monday’s taping, The Rock was spotted in a backstage interview holding Rhea Ripley’s Women’s World Championship belt. He took to Instagram to share his thoughts on the interaction, encouraging Ripley to continue excelling and praising her skills.

Expressing love for Cathy Kelley in his Instagram post, The Rock wrote:

“I love black. She’s badass. And I got famous for wearing a fanny pack. We had fun f**king around backstage ??

Love, appreciate and respect you champ @rhearipley_wwe – thanks for trusting me with your title, keep kickin’ ass and raising the bar ???

Big shout to @cathykelley for being a total pro and having fun ? ??”

Amidst fan comments questioning their backstage activities, Rhea Ripley responded to The Rock’s post, stating:

“Wouldn’t let anyone else look after my baby ? Thanks for being a legend and making my night! Tequila next time ?”

Since her victory over Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 39 in April 2023, Rhea Ripley has held the championship, defending it consistently since it replaced the SmackDown Women’s Championship in June of the same year.
