During a recent segment on “AEW Dynamite,” Don Callis dropped a bombshell by announcing that Ospreay would square off against Konosuke Takeshita at the Revolution PPV on March 3 in Greensboro, NC. This showdown holds significant importance as it marks only the second time Ospreay and Takeshita will share the ring, the first being at AEW WrestleDream where they formed a formidable alliance against some of AEW’s biggest stars.

Ospreay’s journey to AEW commenced in November when he officially inked a deal with the promotion. This groundbreaking signing was made possible through the collaborative efforts between AEW and NJPW, showcasing the synergy between the two promotions.

Having fulfilled his obligations in Japan, Ospreay competed at Wrestle Kingdom 18 in January, where he faced formidable opponents in Jon Moxley and David Finlay. His final appearance for NJPW occurred at New Beginning In Osaka, where he and his United Kingdom faction engaged in a thrilling ten-man steel cage tag team match against the formidable Bullet Club War Dogs.
