The main event features Samoa Joe defending the AEW World Championship against FTW Champion HOOK, along with other anticipated matches. However, one familiar voice will be missing from the commentary team.

Tony Khan shared on Twitter that Tony Schiavone won’t be able to attend tonight’s show due to illness. Ian Riccaboni will be stepping in to fill his place alongside Excalibur and Taz.

Tony Khan’s tweet reads:

“Unfortunately, @tonyschiavone24 won’t be able to join us tonight due to illness. Stepping in on commentary for Wednesday Night #AEWDynamite is the talented @IanRiccaboni! Wishing Tony a speedy recovery. See you in St. Louis this Saturday at #AEWCollision! Catch the action on @TBSNetwork tonight!”

Aside from the AEW World Championship clash, the show includes Deonna Purrazzo’s inaugural Dynamite match as an official AEW signee, facing off against Anna Jay.

A notable match on the card is the ROH Six-Man Tag Team Championship, featuring Brian Cage & the Gates of Agony against Bullet Club Gold’s Jay White and the Gunns.

Austin Gunn has teased the debut of their new entrance music during the broadcast.
