Exclusive Insights into the Latest WWE Contract Updates for Rey Mysterio

Rey Mysterio is an industry famous figure and one of the most famous luchadores who ever stepped foot into the WWE arena. It appears that he is planning to continue his legendary WWE run in the future, as Wrestling Observer is reporting that Mysterio has signed a new contract with WWE.

His Hall of Fame announcement was made just a few minutes after reports of his son’s contract renewal were announced. The father and son duo have tensions that culminated in a showdown at Wrestlemania earlier in the year. Mysterio was last present at the ring for Dominik’s “NXT” North American Championship match against Dragon Lee, where he carried Lee into the arena. He stayed there to cheer him on.

Mysterio began his WWE debut on the show in 2002, and has been a regular on WWE programming since then, with the exception of an extended period of return to the independents from 2015 until the year 2018. Some of his most memorable moments are His 2005 Royal Rumble victory and subsequent world title triumph at WrestleMania 22. He went on to become world champion three times. He’s also held tag titles gold in WWE in addition to his titles in the Cruiserweight Championship, the Intercontinental Championship and the United States Championship — the latter of which he was the US Champion as recently as in the beginning of this year, after beating Austin Theory for the title in August.

Mysterio is currently on the sidelines due to knee injuries, however his contract renewal almost ensures the fact that his WWE career isn’t end.
