Former WWE star is returning to the ring this weekend

There are many who will not continue their professional wrestling career when they are done in a major league such as AEW and WWE. Certain people will decide to take a break and move on to another profession and others will remain in the business of wrestling through the transition to various roles, such as be an announcer or producer, manager or trainer.

Chris Hero has remained in the business of wrestling, however, he has been doing it in the background. Hero was successful in ROH before moving to WWE for a stint between 2011-2013. He then was back for a second stint, during which he was part of NXT as well as working as a representative for NXT, the NXT UK company.

Hero was released in April of 2020 because of budget cuts. He hasn’t wrestled since but he did start producing full-time for AEW in the spring of this year.

Hero is scheduled to take on with fellow former WWE superstar Timothy Thatcher this Friday in the main event of West Coast Professional Wrestling’s return in San Francisco, CA. Other matches scheduled for the event are Bryan Keith vs. Alpha Zo, Kevin Blackwood vs. Jiah Jewell, and West Coast Pro Wrestling Champion Starboy Charlie against. Chris Bey.
