Hit Row member AJ Francis (Top Dolla) was released on the 21st of September 2023, as part a variety of WWE talent cuts.
His last fight was his match on September 10, WWE Sunday Stunner event was Hit Row (Top Dolla, B-Fab and Ashante) was defeated by The LWO (Cruz Del Toro, Joaquin Wilde & Zelina Vega).
The former American footballer makes the return Game Changer Wrestling for his first appearance in a wrestling match following his release.
According to The GCW on Twitter, AJ Francis will be present on the 26th of January 2024 on the Look at Me show that’s also scheduled to include Andrade El Idolo.
Andrade El Idolo recently booked appointments with CMLL and there is speculation that they are aiming at an WWE return when his AEW contract ends.
Another ex- WWE name released in the same round of cuts to talent was Mansoor who is scheduled to be a guest at the GCW show.
AJ Francis previously appeared for GCW on the For the Culture show on April 1, 2022. working alongside Tehuti Miles (fka Ashante Adonis) as the HitMakerZ to take on Shane Taylor Promotions (O’Shay Edwards and Shane Taylor).
Francis joined WWE in January of 2020. The WWE announced that Francis was scheduled to be released under COVID-19-related cuts in the month of November 2021.
The WWE would hire him again from the WWE in August 2022. He will be selected for WWE SmackDown in the 2023 draft prior to the release date in September of 2023.
