Miz made a spirited performance throughout the contest and was able to take a few chops throughout. At one point, both were out of the ring. GUNTHER tried to deliver a massive chop on the former champion but Miz was able to get out of out of the way. GUNTHER took the ring’s post using his left hand. Miz continued to slash his injured hand during the contest.

Miz could hit two finales of the Skull Crushing which included one off the second rope but he wasn’t able to hit the cover in time and GUNTHER fell out of the arena. This was Miz the last scream of his life in the ring, as GUNTHER struck a powerbomb, clothesline, and a third powerbomb, which pinned Miz to the Intercontinental title.

During the show, GUNTHER told Imperium he had some time off in order to “recharge,” meaning he will return in 2024 as champion as his reign is current in 556 days. The victory over Miz is GUNTHER’s 19th consecutive victory in the title following his win over Ricochet in June 2022.
