IYO SKY Reaches Milestone as WWE Women’s Champion

IYO’s WWE career started to take off in the past year because of her return, which included her in an alliance with Bayley along with Dakota Kai that was introduced at the last SummerSlam after the first match which resulted in Bianca Belair successfully retain the Raw Women’s Title over Becky Lynch.

At the time of formation of the group she was suffering from an injury and was in talks to sign a contract with WWE because her contract was due to expire the same month as SummerSlam and many were considering that she might be being let go if she was not given a permanent roster contract.

Since then, SKY has been a prominent TV star as part of the group, where they won their Women’s Tag Team Championships. This summer’s SummerSlam, SKY cashed in her Money in the Bank contract on Belair following an all-star match which also included Asuka along with Charlotte Flair to win her first WWE Women’s Championship.

SKY has reached the mark at 100 days of being the World Champion for Women. The most recent time she defended her title took place at Crown Jewel against Belair in the Crown Jewel, as the returning Kairi Sane was able to help SKY to keep her title.
