Lacey Evans’ Everlasting WWE Passion

A former Lacey Evans has reflected on her career in the sport and the time she spent in WWE that ended at the end of August in 2023.

As previously stated, Evans allowed her WWE contract to end, and she was able to wrestle again with no no-compete clause.

Her final match for WWE was an intense match against Zelina Vega on the 7th of July 2023 episode of SmackDown which marked the end of her seven-year stint with the WWE company.

After leaving her Evans persona, Macey Estrella looked back to her experience in WWE in a discussion in the show Insight with Chris Van Vliet and said:

“I have had lots of offers contact me. But I worked in WWE during seven seasons, but it wasn’t my first love. This was not unspoken about.

“It was awe-inspiring to observe my colleagues in the sports Entertainers who have this as their love, but I knew. I set out and did what I could and did my job. However, I always longed to go home.

“My family was with me everywhere I went for majority of the time. It was quite a challenge, isn’t it? Since when I signed to WWE, I had become a mother and a wife. I’ve been married to my husband since I was just 15.”

She would think about the possibilities and the obstacles and then say:

“It was a wonderful chance, but it was quite a bit of a challenge to evaluate what you love to do, and WWE is extremely difficult.

“You’re traveling for more than 300 days of the year. They’re looking for a lot from you. There was always a thought that was in the back of my mind that was asking ‘What the hell is I doing? ‘”

What she doesn’t miss at WWE, Estrella would confirm that she will not make a comeback and stated:

“Do you really want me to be a liar? No, there’s not. Some people, they get up and put on stilettos that are six inches tall and 10 pounds of makeup, as well as their extensions. They walk down the red carpet, and they appear stunning. I’m not one of them. It was very hard to present the appearance of an appearance…”

Estrella isn’t keen on an upcoming career in the ring, however she’s busy operating her own coffee shop and is also extending her outreach to community programs.

In an interview she outlined the way in which a recent Alcoholics Anonymous outreach was targeted at families of people struggling with addiction.

She has described the work of this community as “so satisfying” and also how she’s never questioned whether or not her departure from WWE would be the “right decision”.
