Nia Jax Dishes on the Highlights of WWE’s Women’s Division

The landscape of the WWE Women’s Division underwent a complete transformation following Nia Jax’s departure from the company in 2021. Fresh faces like Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair graced the main roster, while talents like Raquel Rodriguez and Zoey Stark made waves on “NXT.” Simultaneously, Jade Cargill embarked on her wrestling journey in AEW. Now, this roster of formidable women, including Jax, has converged in WWE, creating an electrifying environment where Jax is thrilled to compete against others who are equally intimidating.

Reflecting on her early days in WWE, Jax shared with Mike Karolyi, “When I first entered [WWE], I was one of the bigger girls. Facing smaller opponents highlighted a significant difference. Now, the women’s division boasts a diverse array of shapes and sizes. Take someone like Raquel Rodriguez, whom I faced recently. We’re about the same size, and it’s truly exciting to showcase to the fans what two big, powerful women can achieve in the ring. This evolution over the past decade allows everyone to witness a variety of styles and relate to the action.”

Unsurprisingly, Jax has bulldozed through everyone in her path since her return to WWE, securing victories over formidable opponents such as Rodriguez, Zoey Stark, and, most recently, Shayna Baszler. Notably, Jax is among the three WWE superstars yet to step into the 2023 ring, alongside GUNTHER and Rhea Ripley. Even the “Tribal Chief” Roman Reigns experienced a pinfall loss to Jey Uso at Money in the Bank.

As Jax continues her unbeaten streak, a new chapter unfolds. On this week’s “WWE Raw,” she teased a budding feud with Becky Lynch after a heated backstage discussion about “The Man.” This sets the stage for another thrilling storyline in Jax’s remarkable journey in the revitalized WWE Women’s Division.
