The purpose of this battle royal was to determine the next contender for Lyra Valkyria’s championship at Vengeance Day.

Before the commencement of the battle royal, a somber announcement confirmed that Cora Jade had suffered a torn ACL, leading to the introduction of her replacement, now known as Wren Sinclair.

Wren Sinclair is the rebranded identity for Madi Wrenkowski, a recent signee to WWE with prior experience in independent wrestling. Wrenkowski had made her in-ring debut in 2019, showcasing her skills on the independent circuit and making appearances for AEW.

In her WWE debut, Wren Sinclair left a lasting impression by eliminating the popular Lash Legend from the competition.

Sinclair’s journey in the battle royal reached its climax as she became the final participant to be eliminated before the contest transitioned into a four-way face-off among the last four contenders – Fallon Henley, Kiana James, Roxanne Perez, and Kelani Jordan. Ultimately, Roxanne Perez secured the victory.

As the newly crowned contender, Roxanne Perez is now poised to challenge Lyra Valkyria for the NXT Women’s Championship at Vengeance Day on February 4.
