Tony Khan dropped some big announcements today via his Twitter/X page regarding wrestlers who have been signed by AEW.
Khan declared that AEW has signed a contract in a contract with “one of the world’s best wrestlers” who is “known + respected by virtually every AEW fan.” Khan added that the individual would be attending Full Gear to sign their contract.
There was no additional information provided, but for those who are wondering what the latest WWE stars will be appearing on the pay-per-view, it is highly unlikely because their 90-day non-compete wouldn’t expire until the end of the month.
There’s been speculation about names such as Dolph Ziggler Mustafa Ali, Shelton Benjamin and many others being part of the team, but If they’re signed, they’re likely to not be announced until the beginning of January. Another name mentioned could be Mercedes Mone, the former Sasha Banks. We’ll know this weekend.
