The event featured a plethora of thrilling matches, including the much-anticipated showdown between SmackDown’s Kabuki Warriors and the formidable duo of NXT Women’s Champion Lyra Valkyria & Tatum Paxley, who aimed to capture the Women’s Tag Team Titles.

Despite their commendable efforts, Valkyria and Paxley were unable to dethrone the champions, allowing Asuka and Kairi Sane to retain their titles.

However, the spotlight quickly shifted to the post-match chaos, as NXT Women’s Champion Lyra Valkyria fell victim to a vicious assault by her recent adversary Roxanne Perez.

Perez, who had been wavering between heroism and villainy in recent months, seemed to fully embrace her dark side with the intensity of her attack on Valkyria.

In her first statement since embracing her heel persona, Perez admitted to the wrongdoing of her actions but also confessed to finding a perverse satisfaction in them. Taking to Twitter, Perez wrote:

“Did something bad, but why does it feel so good?”

As fans await the fallout from Perez’s actions, speculation arises about a potential rematch between her and Valkyria at NXT Stand & Deliver on Saturday, April 6.
