WWE icon Charlotte Flair has conveyed a heartfelt message to her fans, friends, and family, accompanied by a hospital selfie, following a recent injury sustained during a WWE SmackDown match that has raised concerns about the possibility of surgery.
In an effort to address the situation, Charlotte Flair has chosen to break her silence and share her emotions:
“Dear Family, Friends, and Fans,
I want to express my deepest gratitude for the overwhelming support, positive messages, and the beautiful flowers that have flooded in ?? Your collective encouragement has been my rock through this challenging time. It has taken me several days, marked by countless tears, to process everything. As someone prone to overthinking, I find myself truly scared for the first time – scared of the unknown and the potential loss of what I hold dearest, my identity as an athlete. Revealing physical vulnerability is not my usual disposition, and this experience has left me feeling exposed. It’s a process I know will lead to personal growth, albeit a new one for me. This setback has been a significant blow to me mentally and, evidently, physically as I approach 2024. Reflecting on the rollercoaster that was 2023, I am striving to maintain a positive outlook, considering that perhaps this interruption is the necessary pause to stop, refocus, rebuild, and eventually conquer once more.
I extend my heartfelt thanks to this year’s SmackDown locker room. I relished every moment ?? and will be passionately cheering from the sidelines ??
Having portrayed the antagonist for most of my career, this year marked a departure for me. I cherished every hug, high-five, and fist pump at live events, experiencing an unprecedented comfort in my role as the ‘good guy’ ?? ? As a performer, I learned invaluable lessons and plan on picking up right where I left off.
I solemnly pledge to dedicate myself 24/7 over the next nine months to return as the most formidable version of the Queen you’ve ever witnessed.

On the December 8 edition of SmackDown, Asuka emerged victorious against Charlotte Flair, aided by a distraction from Damage CTRL’s Bayley.
Throughout the bout, Flair encountered a mishap, getting her leg entangled on the top rope, subsequently limping towards the closing stretch before being escorted backstage by officials and personnel.
It was officially disclosed on a subsequent episode of WWE SmackDown that she would be taking a hiatus from in-ring action for the next nine months.
