AEW The President of AEW Tony Khan announced earlier this week that a brand-new star will join AEW fully-time. AEW has reached an agreement to a deal with “one of the world’s best wrestlers” who is “known + respected by virtually every AEW fan.”

The names that could be used

The person who was in Full Gear to sign their contract however no further details were provided. The speculation has been rife since when, with names like Dolph Ziggler Mustafa Ali, Shelton Benjamin and others joining the show. The only problem is that all of them are subject to 90-day non-competes arising from their WWE release.

Mercedes Mone has also been reported as a possible signee because of the many who expect her to join AEW prior to her injury earlier in the year.

Big reveal

Andrew Zarian reported today on the Mat Men Podcast that he was informed that Will Osprey would be revealed as the person to sign. This could be a huge deal for AEW because Osprey has a lot of attracted the attention of WWE.

“I was told Will Osprey,” Zarian declared.” This is huge news. It’s a huge deal since WWE was actively looking to sign the guy. The fans will be very happy. He is the wrestler of this year.”
