AEW standout CJ Perry, formerly known as Lana in WWE, has provided a noteworthy update on her finger injury, necessitating a recent hospital visit.

In a fresh social media post, Perry shared that her finger infection has taken a turn for the worse, prompting the need for surgery. Just days ago, she had disclosed the emergence of swelling in her middle finger due to an infection that had also affected her arm. In her latest update, Perry emphasized the extensive duration of her stay in the emergency room, surpassing 50 hours.

Initially slated to be by the side of her new client, Andrade el Idolo, for his return to CMLL, Perry’s injury hindered her travel to Mexico. This setback also led to her absence from the subsequent “AEW Collision” event, where Andrade faced Claudio Castagnoli in the Continental Classic tournament. Despite Andrade’s loss in the match, marking his first defeat in the tournament, he maintains a shared leadership position in the Blue league with Bryan Danielson.

Perry, who joined AEW in September, assumed the managerial role for Andrade in November and has consistently accompanied the former “NXT” Champion to the ring. Notably, her real-life husband, Miro, is also part of the promotion. While Miro and Andrade have yet to cross paths in AEW, the potential for a brewing feud is evident, with Miro declaring on AEW television his intention to target Andrade post the conclusion of the Continental Classic tournament. This prospective clash adds an intriguing dynamic to the AEW narrative.
