AEW luminary and former AEW Women’s World Champion Britt Baker has attributed their Detroit Lions’ fandom to Kevin Nash following the team’s recent victory.
On January 21, the Detroit Lions secured a significant win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, earning them a spot in the NFC Championship game for the first time since the 1991 season.
Fans are rallying behind the Lions, celebrating the team’s remarkable journey from a winless season in 2008 to being just one win away from the Super Bowl.
Former AEW Women’s World Champion and ardent Steelers fan Britt Baker took to social media to express her support for the Lions after their major win. Outlining her two reasons for endorsing Detroit, Baker stated:

Baker’s comments seem to be a response to a tweet from Detroit native and WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash, who congratulated the team and the city post-victory. Nash’s tweet read:
Congratulations @Lions and the city of Detroit. It’s been Detroit against everybody for years, and now everyone has hopped on. Plenty of room, America; we’ve been waiting a long time.
The Detroit Lions are gearing up to face the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship Game on January 28, with the winner securing a spot in the Super Bowl.
Meanwhile, Britt Baker has been absent from AEW programming since September 2023.
