The Undertaker’s Recollection of Mick Foley’s Dude Love Character Debut

The Undertaker recently revisited his initial response to Mick Foley’s iconic wrestling character, Dude Love. Throughout his illustrious career, The Deadman has encountered a diverse array of wrestling personalities, facing giants and legends within the WWE ring.

While The Undertaker is best known for his intense battles against Foley’s Mankind persona, many have wondered about his perspective on Foley’s other alter egos. On a recent episode of the Six Feet Under podcast, The Undertaker shared his thoughts on Dude Love, recalling the humorous first encounter with the character:

“I remember when he first embraced the Dude Love persona. He passed me in the hall, and he could tell by the look on my face… I’ve sold more for him than anybody ever.”

Despite their history of intense in-ring confrontations, The Undertaker expressed his surprise and amusement at Foley’s transformation into Dude Love, complete with tie-dyed attire. The Deadman recounted the moment when Foley, fully immersed in character, walked down the hall, encountered The Undertaker, and acknowledged the perplexed expression on his face.

“I’ll never forget him just dropping his head and walking by [like] ‘I’m sorry.’ It’s like, ‘I can’t believe I sold for you.'”

Interestingly, despite their numerous classic battles, The Undertaker and Dude Love surprisingly never faced each other in the ring. Recent speculation has emerged about The Undertaker’s potential return for one more match, as suggested by a former WWE personality.
