Top WWE NXT Prospect Lost First Match at House Show

WWE NXT is a brand that is growing rapidly since the company changed its strategy from creating NXT 2.0 with the focus on talents that come of an athletic background and no experience in wrestling. They returned to the original black and gold brand, with a focus on a mix of professional wrestlers and athletes and paving the way for revival of the brand as well as a new television contract that will be signed with The CW Network in 2024 leaving to the USA Network.

Top WWE NXT Prospect Lost First Match at House Show

One of the wrestlers they signed was Lexis King, whose real name is Brian Pillman Jr, who quit All Elite Wrestling earlier this year, after his contract did not renew.

In this week’s episode on WWE NXT In the segment devoted to main events, Trick Williams was trying to determine whether Carmelo Hayes really was one to attack him. When Hayes was asked if he would like to know to tell the facts, Lexis King came out to request Trick to reveal what he was thinking about the incident, and he said he believed Hayes was the one who attacked him. Trick hit Lexis then moved and embraced Hayes. Trick held him close while Carmelo was looking angry on his face.

WWE hosted the NXT Live event last Friday in Lakeland, FL, and at the event, King lost to Hayes in a singles bout which was his first defeat in WWE. King is now averaging a 6-1 performance in NXT and one match being broadcast on TV.
