Trading card partner Panini close to reaching a settlement in lawsuit WWE

The suit between WWE and the collectibles firm Panini may be drawing to a an end soon, after the two companies filed suit against one another with the claim that their licensing agreement was not respected.

The lawsuit was filed after the parties reached a deal for four years in the month of March 2022. The agreement allows Panini to create NFL-themed stickers and trading cards in return for royalties to WWE.

Panini asserted that WWE did not follow through with the contract in order to impose $5.625 million in royalty payments. WWE made the complaint on its own, stating that it terminated the agreement for reasons relating to Panini had allegedly violated the terms of the licensing agreement. Panini also claimed in the lawsuit that Panini violated WWE’s intellectual property rights by continuing sell WWE products, as their website continued to offer card packs that included Bianca Belair, Dominik Mysterio, Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes as well as Seth Rollins.
