AEW The president of AEW Tony Khan took to social media to update his followers in the hours before tonight’s Dynamite was broadcast with a reference to a “hectic week’ of injuries.

In advance of the 21st February Dynamite, Khan said that the past week was full of injuries as well as unexpected inability.

Tony Khan wrote:

“This is one of the most stressful weeks for injuries and sudden inability to get a doctor that I’ve seen from @AEW, particularly during the pandemic era.

“Tonight will be a wild night on @TBSNetwork!”

During the event the show, it was revealed it was revealed that Trent Beretta wasn’t medically cleared and he was substituted in his fight with Mike Bennett by Orange Cassidy who, himself, had recently been cleared from a scrape however it’s not clear whether Beretta has been injured in real life or it’s merely part of the plot.

In the initial round that took place tonight’s AEW Dynamite the match that was a duration draw limit, FTR defeated The Blackpool Combat Club in tag team combat.

Dax Harwood, Dax Cash Wheeler had an intense fight to Claudio Castagnoli and Jon Moxley but the mid-Shatter Machine was able to win. FTR was poised to win when the bell rang out to conclude the match.

When the two brawlers refused to cease fighting the bell continued to ring while security officials, and the front office rushed out to stop the fight.
