Cody Rhodes and CM Punk were in a ring together prior to the 2024 WWE Royal Rumble, which they both had vowed to win.
In tonight’s episode on WWE Raw, Cody Rhodes and CM Punk were in the same wrestling ring for what was an intense match.
While the two were surprisingly at first but things didn’t remain very sweet for the duration of time.
At the end of the conversation, they were both in a heated argument with slurs being directed at them both sides, with Punk saying to Cody that because Punk was someone who struggled to achieve his goals, he was maybe more of the ‘American Dream more than Cody is.
Cody might argue that if he did what CM Punk was able to talk about in his famous “pipe bomb”, perhaps he was more “Punk” then CM Punk.
Punk was later to inform Cody that he had received the complete ‘Road to WrestleMania treatment, stating that he could have been a part of the name of the company and received the title of the video game, but a “much larger superstar’ was set to arrive at the celebration: CM Punk.
Punk was also aware of Dusty Rhodes asking him to take care of Cody earlier in OVW in 2007. Punk admitted that he is worried that he’ll violate his promise since he’ll no longer be taking care of Cody He’ll be searching for Cody to take him down during the Rumble.
At the end of the day they would share an eye-to-eye since the frank feelings were transforming into an unabashed rivalry.
The duo of Cody Rhodes and CM Punk are scheduled to be part of both of them at the WWE Royal Rumble this Saturday the 27th of January live.
