According to Guerrero following the 2011 WWE announcement, the wrestler realised that he could not travel for a long time as a professional wrestler. “At that time we were on the road 250 days a year. There was one year on the road, I was 300 days that year, so I was only home 65 days that year. So, I was like, I can’t do that anymore, not just mentally but my body.”

He also said that he believed it was time to step back from competition in the ring for between five and ten years prior to becoming a wrestler and fight coordinator. In addition, he said that his uncle’s transformation into stuntman inspired him to follow in his footsteps. This led him to his involvement in “Young Rock” and “GLOW,” in addition to another yet-to-air installment of the Apple TV show “Loot”.

Since the time, Guerrero has become the preferred brand for every show that features an element of wrestling. He even said that the show’s creator “GLOW” called him after the TV show was over and thanked him for his contributions, and explained that prior to his interview, they planned to make the whole show helmed by women. But, his goals aren’t over and Guerrero is now planning to move to directorship.
