Updates Unveiled for AEW Worlds End Match

A modification appears to have been introduced to the lineup for the upcoming AEW Worlds End pay-per-view scheduled for this Saturday.

Updates Unveiled for AEW Worlds End Match

Initially, it was declared that AEW World Tag Team Champions Big Bill and Ricky Starks would be putting their titles on the line against the Golden Jets tag team, consisting of Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega, at Worlds End on December 30.

However, due to Omega’s absence caused by Diverticulitis, Jericho had to search for a substitute tag team partner for the potential title match.

In the recent episode of Dynamite, Sammy Guevara seemed to be the chosen partner, as he was rescued by Jericho from a 3-on-1 assault by the Don Callis Family. Subsequently, they faced an attack from Big Bill and Starks, leading to Sting and Darby Allin coming to Jericho and Sammy’s aid.

This sequence paved the way for what was later announced as an eight-man tag team match. The match featured Chris Jericho, Sammy Guevara, Sting, and Darby Allin facing off against Big Bill, Ricky Starks, Powerhouse Hobbs, and Kyle Fletcher.

While the match was officially confirmed, a recent update suggests a change to the lineup. Today, on Twitter, AEW shared a new graphic for the match, and this time, Konosuke Takeshita is featured instead of Kyle Fletcher. This alteration seems to confirm that Takeshita will be stepping in for Fletcher, representing the Don Callis Family in the match.
