Wardlow’s Involvement in CM Punk’s AEW Dynamite Injury

Tonight’s AEW Dynamite, there was a mention of the current WWE superstar CM Punk’s actual injury sustained during a promo in the ring.

In a long in-ring promo, Wardlow laid out his argument for the reasons he was an not-so-popular AEW star.

In announcing that he was the only true local AEW star and he referred to his former rivals without not naming them.

One of them was CM Punk as he noted that he beat the “Best on the Planet’ severely during the match that his body in pain from the aftermath of the beating

“Let’s examine some of the fighters who have won (the AEW World Championship )… “The best on earth’ the “real heavyweight champion”. I smashed his a** unlike anyone else ever before in his entire life. His body is still deteriorating from my defeat.”

CM Punk was injured by a torn triceps during his very first WWE TV match in 10 years during his 2024 Royal Rumble.

Despite his injuries, Punk went on to end the game and then be eliminated by his eventual champion and important AEW Alumnus, Cody Rhodes.

In the same promo, Wardlow also took aim at the former AEW World Champion MJF and the current champion, Samoa Joe.
