Will Osprey signs with AEW

The Aerial Assassin is the only Elite

AEW

The star name that was talked about in the past by Tony Khan was officially revealed this evening during AEW Full Gear.

It was reported it was announced that Will Ospreay has signed with the company. Ospreay has appeared with AEW before, but not as a member of the roster due to his contract with New Japan Pro Wrestling. The deal he has with NJPW expires at the start of 2024, however NJPW has granted permission to Ospreay to speak with other promotions prior to when the expiration date of his contract.

Ospreay’s impressive list of achievements

Ospreay has been championed by various promotions across the globe such as his own Progress Championship and Tag Team Championship as well as the RevPro’s Undisputed British Heavyweight Championship, the ROH World Television Championship, and the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. Ospreay is widely regarded as one of the top wrestlers in the world, and the theory exists that there is a desire in his work from WWE.

Ospreay has wrestled previously with AEW during the WrestleDream pay-per view, where he was paired alongside Konosuke Takeshita as well as Sammy Guevara against Chris Jericho, Kenny Omega, and Kota Ibushi. In AEW All In: London, Ospreay defeated Jericho in a singles match. On Forbidden Door on June 1, he beat Kenny Omega for the IWGP United States Championship.
