WWE superstar Bayley took a moment on the latest WWE Raw episode to update fans on her choice for a WrestleMania 40 opponent.
During the January 29 Raw, the WWE Royal Rumble 2024 winners, Cody Rhodes and Bayley, made appearances. Rhodes had a celebratory segment, disrupted by Seth Rollins, while Bayley made a grand entrance alongside the Damage CTRL faction.
Acknowledging Damage CTRL’s historic achievements—winning the Women’s Tag Team Championship, WWE Women’s Championship, and the Women’s Royal Rumble—Bayley expressed pride in forming the successful stable.
However, Bayley’s celebration was interrupted by Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley. The encounter was short-lived as Nia Jax appeared, attacking Ripley on the entrance ramp.
After delivering leg drops and the A-Nia-lator, Jax left Ripley incapacitated, then confronted Bayley. Jax suggested that Bayley should choose to face her own stablemate, IYO SKY, implying that Ripley wouldn’t make it to WrestleMania.
Bayley revealed her decision would be announced on Friday’s SmackDown, with the camera capturing a skeptical expression from Damage CTRL member and WWE Women’s Champion IYO SKY.
