In the wake of AEW’s recent talent releases, which included Jose The Assistant, a former AEW and WWE star, Andrade El Idolo has offered his reaction to the departure.

The list of releases on April 1st saw several notable names, such as Dasha Gonzalez and Stu Grayson, being let go.

Jose initially entered AEW as the manager for Andrade El Idolo, traversing through various managerial dynamics before eventually aligning more closely with Rush and La Faccion Ingobernable.

Despite their professional paths diverging, Andrade took to social media to convey his well-wishes to Jose.

He tweeted, “When you were my loyal friend!!! @JoseAssistant but you will always have a friend ?????? We had a great time! you were the one who saw my backstage.”

Accompanying his message was an image that presumably depicted Andrade’s original concept for a faction in AEW, featuring himself, Rush, Jose, and former WWE NXT talent Tino Sabbatelli.

It’s been hinted in past interviews that Andrade had aimed to bring Sabbatelli into AEW, although there were reported differences with Tony Khan.
