WWE and trading card partner Panini reach settlement in lawsuit

The legal battle between WWE and the collectibles firm Panini is coming to an end with them both suing each other, claiming that their licensing agreement was not respected.

Lawsuit

The whole thing began with an agreement for four years in March 2022 which saw Panini being allowed to create themed trading cards, stickers and other merchandise in exchange for royalties to WWE. Then, Panini alleged that WWE had erred in trying to terminate the contract in order to demand $5.625 million in royalties remaining payments.

WWE responded with its own complaint, in which they stated that they had terminated the contract due to reasons relating to Panini had allegedly violated the terms of the licensing agreement. Additionally, WWE also alleged in the lawsuit that Panini was violating its intellectual property rights through continuing to market WWE products on their website, even though it continued to offer tickets that included Bianca Belair, Dominik Mysterio, Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes as well as Seth Rollins.

The final

According to court documents uncovered through Paul Lesko, the two parties told the court that they had resolved their differences and requested for the judge to drop the case with prejudice. This means the case is over and cannot be brought back.
