WWE’s Grayson Waller Opens Up About Management: Candid Reflections

Grayson Waller, known for his candidness, recently opened up about his complex relationship with WWE NXT head Shawn Michaels, shedding light on their clashes throughout 2023.

Speaking on The Collection with Brad Gilmore, Waller surprisingly showed a more reflective side, acknowledging Michaels’ success as the Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative:

“Shawn and I haven’t always seen eye to eye, but credit was due. I see the effort he puts into developing talent. When he believes in someone, he goes the extra mile to support and elevate them. Those who take advantage of his expertise will find their way to the main roster and achieve significant success.”

Reflecting on Michaels’ no-nonsense approach, Waller explained:

“He’s direct, to the point—no sugarcoating when you’re with Shawn. He gives it to you straight, and that’s the voice you should listen to. With his extensive experience, if you’re not seeking advice from Shawn and learning from him, your journey might hit a roadblock.”

Waller, who joined WWE in March 2021 and made his 205 Live debut in June of the same year, transitioned to a regular role on WWE NXT before joining the main roster through the 2023 WWE Draft.

Lately, Waller has been teaming up with Austin Theory, continuing their disruptive tactics, now involving Kevin Owens. Owens made a surprise appearance at NXT New Year’s Evil, delivering a punch to Waller’s face, resulting in the SmackDown star’s loss to Trick Williams.
