His reign for the title of WWE Intercontinental Champion is close to reaching 600 days, and the champion has just crossed the 600-day mark.

The championship has been held for the past 10 years, starting on June 10, 2022 Gunther remains the longest-running holder of the title in one go.

According to WWE Stats in Twitter The wrestler has surpassed a mark not previously seen since Mr. Perfect’s reign in the 90s.

In their tweet about the issue, WWE Stats revealed that:

“Tonight on the #WWERaw show, @Gunther_AUT was the very first Superstar in the history of WWE since. Perfect (in the years 1990-91) to keep the Intercontinental Championship of @WWE against more than a dozen opponents in one #ICTtitle time.”

On the show on January 29 in WWE Raw, Gunther defeated Kofi Kingston. You can watch highlights from the fight below this story.

Kingston was four times WWE Intercontinental Champion and held the title for a total of 272 days.

With Gunther holding the title for 598 days during a single run, he’s nearing Pedro Morales combined 617 days in his two terms.
