Following his second showdown with Kazuchika Okada at WrestleKingdom 18, AEW standout Bryan Danielson is now confronted with yet another significant rematch challenge.
Just a day after their intense clash on February 4 at the Tokyo Dome, Danielson and Okada teamed up for the first time at NJPW New Year Dash, partnering with fellow Blackpool Combat Club member Jon Moxley and Tomohiro Ishii. Their opponents in the eight-man tag match were TMDK (Zack Sabre Jr., Kosei Fujita, Shane Haste & Mikey Nichols).
Despite a formidable lineup, TMDK emerged victorious, with Haste pinning Ishii for the win. However, the story didn’t end there, as Sabre Jr. issued a challenge to The American Dragon for a rematch, revisiting their acclaimed bout at AEW Wrestle Dream in October.
While an official response from Danielson is pending, there are indications that he is inclined to accept the challenge.
